We are teaming up with some of our key collaborators of the Junior Astronauts campaign to bring campaign activities to various groups across the country during the International Day for Women and Girls in Science.

Junior Astronauts activity during Women and Girls of Science The Canadian Space Agency presents Patch maker, patch maker, make me a patch!, a Teamwork and Communication activity of the Junior Astronauts campaign.

The activity is free and open to everyone, but youth in Grade 6 to Secondary 3 will receive a certificate for their eligibility towards our contest to win a spot for our Junior Astronaut Camp this summer.

Virtual presentation by Canadian Space Agency engineer Magdalena Wierus about her career and the Junior Astronauts campaign for students in Grades 6 to 9.

Girls and Women in Space Night

A night of trivia, panels and a virtual talk by CSA engineer Miriam Micael to highlight this special day. Three Junior Astronauts activities will take place with youth in the basement of the observatory during the talks.

Junior Astronauts Challenge

The Canadian Association for Girls in Science will have speakers on hand and run a Junior Astronauts activity with 30 to 50 girls between the ages of 10 and 15 from 6 to 9 p.m. ET.

Junior Astronauts Day

Virtual presentation by CSA engineer Magdalena Wierus at 11 a.m. MT. Junior Astronauts activities will also be done with 50 children between the ages of 6 to 12 years old during the day.
